ms crm 2011 - I want to simulate the dev envrironment in another server. How can I import the unmanaged solutions.

I need to followed the following steps.

1) I imported the unmanged solution from dev environment1 to the dev environment 2

2) due to some reasons the unmanged solution is modified in the dev environment1.

Shall I export the unmanged solution with the same version and import into the dev environment2.

                                  OR

Shall I export the unmanaged solution with the latest version and import into the dev environment2.

I am confused, please help.
